DigiDialer
DigiDialer is the premiere DTMF telephone dialer for Palm handheld devices. Simply hold your Palm near most telephones, and it will produce the appropriate audio tones to dial the number! It can also manage and dial your calling card numbers.
DigiDialer has the ability to import names and telephone numbers from the built-in Palm Address Book, supports the new 5-way navigation control, and also comes with seven different skins to customize its visual appearance. As you can see, DigiDialer takes full advantage of high resolution color screens.
How does it work?
Most recent Palm-branded devices have speakers capable of producing Dual Tone Multiple Frequency (DTMF) tones. Simply hold your Palm near your telephone handset, and DigiDialer will emit the correct tones to dial the telephone number for you!

The Main Menu gives you access to all the options. From here you can set up telephone numbers and calling card information. You can also select a skin, view Preferences, and beam DigiDialer to a friend using either Bluetooth or Infrared technologies. We'll go through each option below... |

The Phone Number List dialog box allows you to add new names and telephone numbers to your list. You can either tap "Add New" to enter information manually, or tap "Import" to import information from the built-in Palm Address Book. After you have added at least one record, you can "remove" it or "edit" it using the two other buttons. |
|
The Calling Card List dialog box allows you to add new calling card information to your list. You can also remove and edit these records. You have the ability to add a handful of cards, but must click "Set Default" to tell DigiDialer which one to use. A small red checkmark will show up next to the default card. When adding a new card, you can enter three lines of numbers:

The Skin Selection dialog box allows you to choose from one of seven "skins" to customize the look of DigiDialer. Select from blue, green, or silver styles, all of which use the high-resolution capabilities of the Tungsten T, Tungsten C, and Zire 71! |
|
The Preferences dialog lets you adjust (and test) the volume of DigiDialer's tones. You can also choose what to display on the main buttons -- name, phone number, or both. Version 1.1 also gives you the ability to set a time delay before dialing the number (so you have time to physically move your Palm next to a telephone handset). |

One big advantage of owning a Tungsten or Zire is the 5-way navigator control which lets you do many things without picking up the stylus. Within DigiDialer, simply press select (the center of the 5-way control) to highlight a telephone number. Then press up or down to scroll through the entries. Finally, press select again to dial that entry.
The best way to see all of DigiDialer's features is to download and try it out for yourself. We encourage you to try it free for 30 days. If you aren't 100% satisfied with DigiDialer, just remove it from your Palm device.
Our download package now includes a full User Manual, viewable with Adobe Reader.
If you're ready to purchase a registration code, simply add it to your PalmGear cart.
